This was a busy week for the Sparks with a season rematch with Harding and their city rivals Central. The Central meet is always a fan and team favorite. In a regular season, the stands at Humboldt would have been packed with families, school friends and a lot of former Sparks and Central swimmers coming back to see who takes home the title of city champs that has been passed back-and-forth the last many years between the two teams. Although Central won - see meet results below - we have one more opportunity to swim against them in October.
The Sparks did win the Harding meet - these results are also below. Given the small size of Harding's team this year, a lot of Spark's swimmers had the opportunity to try new events. As a reminder, when it is clear that one team is going to win the meet, many times are listed is exhibition. This does not mean that the swimmer was dq'ed - instead, it is the officials way to make the final score less lopsided.
